Elise Museles New Book Happy 2016! I hope you’re celebrating the beginning of a brand new year by making exciting plans and pondering the endless possibilities of a blissfully blank slate. And I’m right here with you – nothing like cracking open a fresh calendar to fill your soul with hope and your mind with motivation.

But today, I’m also celebrating the arrival of my newly released book! Whole Food Energy includes 200 easy-to-follow recipes for snacks and on-the-go meals, clever cooking strategies, and the truth about carbs, fats, healthy eating…and more. I spent a huge amount of time and energy working on this baby throughout 2015, and learned so much about myself in the process. I can hardly believe I’m a real live published author now, and the book is already shipping. (Whoa!)

Before I start reeling off the things that excite me about this book, I want to offer a huge thank you to YOU and the entire Kale & Chocolate Community for making it all possible.

Without your continuous support, I wouldn’t have been able to accomplish one of my biggest goals: Having a book out in the world that shares my philosophy of food, cooking, and life in the kitchen. I’m beyond thrilled to knock that off my life-long to-do list.

But it’s not all about me. Not by a long shot. I also wrote this book for you. Why? Because I knew Whole Food Energy would address a real need: a system that helps the busy, active person eat healthy on the go. (Who doesn’t need that?!)

While I constantly preach slowing down and savoring the food in front of us, I know that doesn’t always align with reality. In an ideal world, we would eat every meal off beautiful dishes, sitting at a table, surrounded by the people we love engaged in sparkling conversation. But busy lives and packed schedules can make that nearly impossible.

We go six or seven hours between meals, and then we’re surprised when we feel cranky, snappish, and exhausted. Or we might think about our meals (when we have the time!), but we often forget about being mindful about what to eat in between those meals.

Whole Food Energy reframes the way we think about feeding our bodies. It goes beyond three square meals a day, offering ways to nourish ourselves all day long, no matter how busy we are.     I love, love, love this book. The recipes are easy, accessible and yes…good for you. I can’t wait to get my own copy (I’ve ordered a bunch 3 times so far) so I can really delve deep.

    Happy New Year and congratulations Elise!! I may be your biggest fan!! I have ordered my book and can’t wait for it to arrive!!! Our family has committed to making 2016 our healthiest yet. Our greatest challenge is sticking to it when our work and school schedules have us busy, on the go and short on time.
